Start with where the water goes today. A city, state or federal discharge rule usually decides this for you, and the answer is different for a wash bay on a sewer connection than for a crew washing in a parking lot.
A fixed site with a wash bay takes a fixed system. The fixed system we sell is a multi-module unit on 115V power, with sand filtration, a polishing filter, an automatic chlorinator and a polypropylene coalescing tank. Golf courses, truck washes, car washes and rental yards are the kinds of sites that use one.
A mobile crew has two choices. A compact filtration unit mounts in a truck or van, runs on 110V and is designed to filter down to 5 micron or lower. Or you capture everything and carry it: the UTT 460 is a twin-axle trailer with a 460 gallon tank, a 4 HP vac motor and an automatic pump-out, built for containment and spill clean-up.
What we need from you: how many gallons a day you wash, what is in the water (oil, mud, detergent), and who your discharge permit or inspector is. The rules vary by city, so we would rather see the site than guess. Ask for a visit.
What it's for
- Wash bays that must meet a discharge permit
- Mobile crews washing where runoff cannot reach a storm drain
- Containment and spill clean-up
- Sites that want to reuse wash water instead of buying it
What it's not for
- Choosing from a web page alone: the right system depends on your site, your water and your permit, so we look first
What are you cleaning?
Tell us the job in your own words. A person at the counter calls you and starts with the problem. Nobody pitches a machine until we understand the job.
